Peer violence is usually the intentional, repeated use of physical, psychological, sexual, material or online violence against another peer. When it is a single incident of violent behaviour and there is a marked difference in physical or psychological power between the perpetrator and the victim, we are also talking about peer violence.

Peer violence is defined as:

– conscious and repeated behaviour

– aggressive behaviour

– manipulative behaviour

– exclusionary behaviour

– violence by one or more persons against one or more persons who are weaker (physically, psychologically or socially) than the perpetrator
